Write for us
We welcome pitches that make a sport easier to understand, whether they explain a rule, unpack a tactical choice, trace an equipment detail or examine a sporting tradition.
What makes a strong pitch
Send a clear subject, the reader question your piece will answer, and a short account of its main point. Tell us what makes the angle distinct and which category it suits. Strong proposals have a defined scope, explain terms for newcomers and rely on examples that readers can follow without specialist background.
Contributions we consider
We consider explanatory features, comparisons, histories and carefully framed introductions to sporting subjects. Keep claims proportionate, distinguish interpretation from established rules or facts, and note any relevant interests or relationships. We do not seek unsupported predictions or claims that a single approach works in every situation.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page and select the editorial option. Include a proposed title, a concise pitch and a little about your relevant experience or perspective. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication; please do not send a complete unsolicited manuscript.
